Publishing Malpractice
Management Issues in Healthcare System adheres to best practices to prevent publishing misconduct. We explicitly forbid:
Data Manipulation: Fabricating or falsifying data.
Simultaneous Submission: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently.
Ghost/Gift Authorship: Excluding contributors who deserve authorship or including individuals who did not contribute.
The editorial board actively monitors for these malpractices. Any detected misconduct will be dealt with according to COPE guidelines and may result in sanctions against the author.
Systemic Manipulation of the Publication Process
Management Issues in Healthcare System actively monitors for systemic manipulation of the publication process, including paper mills, citation cartels, and peer review rings (e.g., fake reviewer emails). Submissions suspected of being part of such manipulation will be immediately rejected, and the relevant institutions and publishers will be notified. EUROKD is processing to join the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). “COPE provides leadership in thinking on publication ethics and practical resources to educate and support members, and offers a professional voice in current debates”.
