Journal APC

Article-processing charges (Applicable by 31 December 2026)

The European Journal of Studies in Management and Business journal (MBRQ) is firmly committed to fostering open scientific exchange and ensuring that high-quality research remains accessible to the global academic community and is committed to transparency in its business practices and to maintaining editorial independence from financial considerations. Regarding the agreement with sponsors, all publication processes within MBRQ are entirely free of charge  by December 2026. Authors are not required to pay any Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, or publication fees at any stage, from initial manuscript submission to final publication. Therefore, authors will not have to pay an APC (article processing charge) - publication is free from 2020 to 2026. This financial support ensures that high-quality research remains accessible to everyone without financial barriers.

This financial model is made possible through the generous support of our institutional sponsors. Through formal agreements with the Australian International Academic Centre (AIAC, Agreement No. 10.11.9854), EMSEI (Agreement No. 119/432), and the Business Education Department of EUROKD, our essential operational costs are fully subsidized. These sponsorships cover the expenses associated with Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration, digital archiving (PORTICO), plagiarism detection software, and other vital infrastructure requirements.

However, because the journal operates on a strictly limited budget provided by these sponsors, our financial and operational capacities are constrained. Consequently, MBRQ operates on a quarterly publication schedule and is limited to publishing a maximum of 5 to 6 articles per issue. This restriction ensures that we can maintain rigorous quality control and high editorial standards for every published manuscript without exceeding our funding limits.

Journal APC (Effective for submissions from January 2027 onward)

The journal will charge 200 EURO, to cover open access publishing cost, as of January 2027 for the accepted papers.

Waiver Policy (Applicable to manuscripts submitted on or after January 1, 2027)

MBRQ provides APC waivers and discounts according to the following criteria:

- Low-income countries: Authors affiliated with institutions in countries classified as low-income by the World Bank and authors from countries or regions experiencing severe economic disruption or humanitarian crisis, as identified in publicly available international reports (e.g., World Bank classifications or United Nations humanitarian appeals) are eligible for APC waivers ranging from 50% to 100%. Waiver requests must be made at the time of submission and will be assessed by the administrative office independently of the peer review process.

Applicants for waivers must provide verifiable documentation of their affiliation and country of residence. Waiver decisions are communicated to authors before final acceptance and do not influence editorial or peer review outcomes.

- The journal will offer waiver for submissions for publication in the special issues,  invited papers amd book reviews are free of charge.

Furthermore, the sustainability of MBRQ relies heavily on the dedication of our academic community. Our editorial board members and peer reviewers collaborate on a strictly voluntary basis, dedicating their time and expertise free of charge to support the advancement of knowledge. We deeply appreciate their deliberate and invaluable contributions to the journal’s mission.
