Beyond the Hype: Developing a Critical Lens on AI in Language Education

Anna is a Dubai based teacher educator with over 25 years experience in ELT. She has trained pre- and in-service teachers in over 30 countries for organisations such as the British Council, International House, NILE, local ministries and leading publishers such as National Geographic, OUP, CUP and Macmillan. Anna holds a PGCE in primary teaching, CELTA, DELTA, an MA in Public Administration and a Masters in Education. Besides being a DELTA & CELTA tutor and assessor for Cambridge Assessment English, Anna is working on completing her PhD at The University of Auckland, New Zealand where her research interests centre around language teacher educators’ professional learning with an emphasis on motivation and social emotional wellbeing. She is the author of Activities for Social-Emotional Learning: Developing social-emotional competences in the ELT classroom and most recently 50 ways to include learners affected by trauma (DELTA Publishing).
