Plagiarism Statement

The Management Issues in Healthcare System (MIHS) has a strict, zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. We expect all submitting authors to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity.

Definition:

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without proper attribution.
  • Self-plagiarism (text-recycling): Reusing significant portions of your own previously published work without proper citation.
  • Presenting another researcher’s ideas or findings as your own.

Detection and Process:

  • Screening: All submitted manuscripts are strictly screened for originality using industry-standard plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate / Turnitin) prior to the peer-review process.
  • Actionable Offenses: If plagiarism is detected at any stage (submission, review, or post-publication), the manuscript will be immediately rejected.
  • Post-Publication: If plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, the journal will conduct a formal investigation. If confirmed, the article will be formally retracted according to our Correction and Retraction Policy, and the authors’ institutions may be notified.

Editorial Board of the Journal defined the upper threshold of plagiarism in the articles as 20 percent; the similarity to a single source can be at most 1 percent.

Editors and Reviewers are encouraged to immediately notify the Editor-in-Chief if they suspect any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or ethical misconduct during the review process.
