Management Issues in Healthcare SystemOpen Access Policy
The Management Issues in Healthcare System (MIHS) is committed to immediate and permanent open access to all its content. We believe that unrestricted access to research is essential for the global exchange of knowledge. MBRQ operates under the European Diamond Capacity Hub (EDCH) as a Diamond Open Access model. This means:
MBRQ is a proud signatory of the Budapest Open Access Initiative definition of Open Access, which mandates that the literature be available online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions, facilitating the unrestricted exchange of research.

Archiving Policy
1- Self-Archiving Policy
- Pre-prints (Submitted Version)
Authors are permitted to upload the pre-print version of their manuscript (the original draft before peer review and formal editing) to preprint servers or any other platform. If a pre-print is posted, the publisher and journal must be acknowledged using the following statement:
“This is a pre-peer-reviewed version of a manuscript submitted to Management Issues in Healthcare System (MIHS), published by EUROKD.”
Authors are required to disclose any pre-print postings—including the DOI and licensing terms—either during the initial manuscript submission or at any point during the peer-review process.
- Post-prints (Accepted Version)
Authors may share their post-print manuscript (the version accepted after peer review, but prior to final copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading) on their personal, non-commercial websites or within institutional repositories. In such cases, the following acknowledgment must be included:
“This is an accepted, peer-reviewed version of the article [Name of the article], accepted for publication in Management Issues in Healthcare System (MIHS). The final published version is available on the EUROKD website at: http://dx.doi.org/[DOI of the article].”
- Published Version (Version of Record)
As an open-access journal, authors are fully authorized and encouraged to upload the final, published PDF (the fully edited and typeset version) to any institutional repository, academic network, or distribute it via any other channel. The only requirement is to acknowledge the journal and publisher with this statement:
“This is the published version of the article [Name of the article], originally published in Management Issues in Healthcare System (MIHS). It is available on the Journal website at: http://dx.doi.org/[DOI of the article].”
2- Long-Term Digital Preservation and Archiving
The Editorial Board and EUROKD are committed to the permanent availability and preservation of the scholarly record.
- Sherpa Romeo
Our archiving and open-access policies are indexed in Sherpa Romeo, a recognized online resource that aggregates and analyzes publisher policies worldwide. This ensures our self-archiving permissions and author rights are transparent and easily accessible to the global academic research community.
- Portico Digital Preservation
To safeguard our published research against unforeseen circumstances, Journals published by EUROKD are a participant of Portico, a leading digital preservation service. All articles are archived through Portico, an independent digital preservation service for e-journals, e-books, and digital collections. This partnership ensures that the scholarly content we publish will be securely archived and remain accessible to researchers, libraries, and readers for the long term—even in the event of a disruption or outage. By participating in Portico, we are reinforcing our commitment to the permanence and accessibility of academic research. Authors and readers can rest assured that the knowledge shared through our journal will be preserved for future generations.

Portico guarantees that all content will remain accessible and usable for researchers, scholars, and students in the event of a “trigger event,” such as:
In addition to external preservation, all corresponding manuscript versions are securely maintained within the EUROKD internal website archives.
The publication costs for the Management Issues in Healthcare System (MIHS) are fully subsidized by our publisher, EUROKD egitim danismanlik group, in collaboration with our various sponsors. This financial support ensures that high-quality research remains accessible to everyone without financial barriers.
This financial model is made possible through the generous support of our institutional sponsors. Through formal agreements with the Australian International Academic Centre (AIAC, Agreement No. 10.11.9854), EMSEI (Agreement No. 119/432), and the Business Education Department of EUROKD, our essential operational costs are fully subsidized. These sponsorships cover the expenses associated with Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration, digital archiving, plagiarism detection software, and other vital infrastructure requirements.
However, because the journal operates on a strictly limited budget provided by these sponsors, our financial and operational capacities are constrained. Consequently, MIHS operates on a quarterly publication schedule and is limited to publishing a maximum of 5 to 6 articles per issue. This restriction ensures that we can maintain rigorous quality control and high editorial standards for every published manuscript without exceeding our funding limits.
